Point 1:
how we in Freiburg decide to 'spend our scarce resources' is up to us
and is not a point of discussion here and definitely not an argument
for or against any part of dune. 
Point 2:
somebody should tell me how to replace the interval block for ZGF using
gmsh - for testing numerical schemes on different grids (including Yasp)
it is one of the most important parts for my work flow.
Point 3:
how about setting of boundary ids using the gmsh reader? Ok I know that 
boundary ids are not for everybody but we do still use them here

Again: I will not stop maintaining DGF until I find it to difficult to use
and not adequate anymore. The only issue we can vote on is to remove it from
dune-grid. I would them build a new dune module and make a download available
in Freiburg - I could not care less.
