FS#1094 - Compiling Generic Reference Elements Requires too much Memory

I think Markus tests go into the right direction and I think it is already nice to reduce the compile time so much.
I experienced really big changes in the behavior of the compiler by rather small code changes. Some of them in places where I'd never have expected any impact. Perhaps these are compiler bugs, but I don't think they will vanish soon, as the compiler is such an monstrous thing.
Before I can judge the proposed patches I need some time to look into these. An other question is, whether it is really necessary that the ReferenceElements make such heavy use of TMPs and if we can replace some of the code with run-time computations done at the program start.
