If we do this, however, I have a question: What's the good of the deprecation warning? Grid implementations using the old semantics (i.e., those implemented outside of dune-grid and not ported to the new semantics) will probably fail to compile after changing the default. In case they do still compile, the user does not notice the even notice problem. So what's the point in the warning.

Removing the warning, on the other hand, has the benefit that my above problem for the local geometries is solved for now (i.e., until the point has been thoroughly discussed).
