[Dune] Linking with OS X 10.9 Mavericks

Hello Christoph,

yes…I have seen that answer, alas, it horrifies me. I have some hope that this problem will be solved
in a cleaner way somehow.

on the other hand, yes, I am sure that I used gcc since the compiler found is mlicxx which in turn
uses my very own compiled gcc 4.8.1
