[Dune] /usr/local/lib/dunecontrol: file not found, Execution of dunecontrol terminated due to errors!

I freshly cloned the core modules in a new directory and now am unable
to use dunecontrol. It looks for an installed version a dies for not
finding it. Any ideas anyone?
