have a look at https://dune-project.org/flyspray/index.php?do=details&task_id=1491
which contains code to get ParMetis working with UGGrid (and possibly dune-alugrid,
but you need to ask the alugrid guys about that).  I hope to have that code
integrated into dune-grid proper "real soon now(TM)", but before the 2.4 release
at the latest.
