[Dune] Assignment of Qk shape functions to entities

Dear Dune community,
I have been looking at the code in dune-localfunctions that assigns the different
Qk shape functions (i.e., k-th order Lagrangian shape functions on cubes) to grid entities
(in dune/localfunctions/lagrange/qk/qklocalcoefficients.hh>)
The code there basically works "by hand".  It is long, at bit error prone,
and works only for 2d and 3d.  Does anybody happen to know the general
dimension-agnostic rule that assigns the shape functions to element subentities,
and is willing to share it?
