Do you actually have a link for this? I wanted to convince myself of this and 
followed the one on the Dune website and the formulation of the libstdc++ 
template exception is legally sound (as far as I can tell), while DUNE's is 
very pretty casual.

yes, that's why adding a "or later" clause would be very useful.

As far as I know, Debian does not have any DUNE based packages which uses a 
non-GPL2 compatible licese in their repository, so they do not need to care.
