Your build-alberta3.log does not contain unresolved symbols, but a weird compiler error
   dune-grid/dune/grid/albertagrid/dofadmin.hh:197:7: error: expected ‘;’ before ‘if’
in a file that was not changed in the last three years.

It works for me with dune-alugrid and UG. Would you mind to check again and maybe attach a new build log?
