I think the main question is whether the changes decided in Heidelberg should be included in the new release or not. If they should not be included we should create a new branch before christmas; otherwise we should add the new methods, mark the old one deprecated and branch in mid January.

Personally, I think the decided changes to the interface should be included in the release. Yet, the change of the implementations could be done after the release.

Either way, we should release the new version as soon as possible. The current dune-trunk is tested every night within the dune-fem nightly build and seems to compile fine. Moreover, delaying the release means it will become outdated even before it is release (see 1.0-release).
