Hi.
How can not think of any obvious reason for this.
How did you measure that - especially comparing the performance
of that one method between different grids? What did your test code look like
and which codimension did you test?

Best
Andreas

Subject: [Dune] accessing the subIndex on 3D elements using ALUGRID

Dear Dune,

I would like to ask one question about accessing the subIndex routine in
ALUGRID:
Observed that accessing the subIndex routine is slower(at least 40%) in ALU
comparing with UG or YASP.
This is only in 3D and it is fine again in 2D. Accessing the function looks
as follows:
indexset.subIndex(*it,i,dim);
Is it a open issue in ALU grid (only for 3D elements) implementation or I
made a mistake while ALU grid installation?
I am using the latest svn version of DUNE and ALU-1.50.

I wish you a merry Christmas and happy new year.

Best Regards
Nagaiah
