Dear Dune users and developers,
we are discussion Dune's support for older CMake versions [1].
From
a developer's point of view, newer versions reduce the need
for
backwards compatibility hacks, workaround for known and fixed
CMake
bugs, and less testing burden. For a user it is better to just
use
the version provided by the admin and not to bother at all.
I want to know what you are actually using.

I would like to hear from you
1) what CMake version is installed on your machines, both
these for
development and your local super computer.
This can be obtained by "cmake --version"
2) what OS you are using, including the version number. Linux
user
can use "cat /etc/*version" or "cat /etc/*release" to get
the
    name and the version.
3) Additional it would be nice to add information about most
recent
CMake version which could be installed from official
backport
repositories, official Developer update release etc.

Thanks for sharing this data
Christoph
